“So sue me” is essentially what the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India is saying about its new rules on compensation to consumers for dropped calls.
Telecom Regulatory Authority of India Chairman RS Sharma said operators were free to go to court to challenge the order. “Every association has a legitimate right to put up their concerns in a legal forum,” Sharma said.
“It’s a valid regulation. So long as it is not annulled, modified or cancelled by any legal authority, this order of the regulator will continue to stand from January 1,” Sharma noted.
