For the first time in history, the mobile telecom industry now has global bands to support Long Term Evolution 4G networks.
Those bands include 700 MHz globally; 1427 to 1518 MHz (L-band) globally and 3300 MHz to 3400 MHz, 3400 to 3600 MHz (C-band) and 3600 MHz to 3700 MHz (C-band).
Additional spectrum has been made available for mobility purposes in various parts of the world.
Europe and the Middle East gained the L-band as well as 3.3 GHz to 3.4 GHz and 3.4 GHz to 3.6 GHz.
The Middle East gained the 700 MHz band. Europe also was allocated the 700 MHz band
In the Americas, the 600 MHz band and 4800 MHz to 4990 MHz bands were made available in some countries.
Asia and the Pacific region gained use of the 600 MHz band and 4800 MHz to 4990 MHz frequencies in some countries.
