Taiwan LTE Faster Speeds Will Get Faster in 2016 after 2.6 GHz Spectrum Auctions

faster LTE is coming, RCR Wireless News reports. Chunghwa Telecom, Taiwan Mobile and Far EasTone Telecommunications are likely to launch LTE-Advanced and voice over LTE solutions in 2016.

Taiwan’s National Communications Commission is planning to award spectrum in the 2.6 GHz band during 2015. This new spectrum will enable local carriers to launch TD-LTE and FDD-LTE in 2016.
